Citizens of the World schools are intentionally built to reflect the diversity of the community they serve. We believe that learning alongside peers with different backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences prepares students to thrive in a global society.

Is CWCLV really free?
Yes. We are a tuition-free public school authorized by the State of Nevada. We do not charge tuition, and there are no fees for your child to attend.

Where will the school be located?
We are currently in the process of securing a high-quality facility in the Las Vegas area that meets our rigorous safety and instructional standards. We will update all families on our interest list as soon as the location is finalized.

Enrollment & Admissions

How do I enroll my child for Fall 2027?
Enrollment for our founding K-2 classes will begin in 2026. If we receive more applications than available seats, we will conduct a random, public lottery to determine placement, as required by Nevada law.

Can I apply if I don’t live in a specific zip code?
Yes. As a charter school, we are open to all students residing in Nevada, regardless of their zoned district or home address.

What if my child has an IEP or is an English Language Learner?
We welcome and serve all students. Our model is built on providing personalized instruction that meets the unique academic and social-emotional needs of every child.

The CWCLV Experience

What grades will you serve?
We will open in 2027 with Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd grades. We plan to grow by adding a grade each year until we are a full K-8 school.

Does Citizens of the World Las Vegas have a uniform policy?
Yes. CWCLV requires all students to wear uniforms. We believe uniforms promote a sense of belonging, reduce social distractions, and reinforce a professional learning environment.

What are the school hours?
Final school hours will be released in 2027.

The Application Process

When does enrollment officially begin?
We will begin accepting applications for the Fall 2027 school year in late 2026. To ensure you receive a notification the moment the application window opens, please complete our [Interest Form].

What grades can I apply for?
For our inaugural year in 2027, we are accepting applications for Kindergarten, 1st Grade, and 2nd Grade students. We will add one grade level each year until we are a full K-8 campus.

Is there an application fee or entrance exam?
No. As a public charter school, we are 100% tuition-free and open to all students. We do not require entrance exams, interviews, or essays for admission.

The Lottery & Placement

What happens if you have more applicants than seats?
If the number of applications exceeds our capacity for a specific grade level, we will hold a random, public lottery in early 2027 to determine student placement. This is a requirement under Nevada law to ensure fair and equal access for all families.

Are there “preferences” in the lottery?
In accordance with Nevada state law, we provide certain lottery preferences, such as for siblings of currently enrolled students and children of founding board members or school staff. All other students are entered into the general lottery pool.

What if my child is not selected in the lottery?
Students not selected during the initial lottery are placed on a waitlist in the order determined by the random drawing. If a seat becomes available before or during the start of the school year, we will contact the next family on the waitlist immediately.

Eligibility & Documents

Do I have to live in a specific neighborhood to apply?
No. CWCLV is open to any student residing in the state of Nevada. You do not need to be “zoned” for our school to attend.

How old does my child need to be for Kindergarten?
For the Fall 2027 school year, Nevada law requires students to be 5 years old on or before August 1, 2027, to enroll in Kindergarten.

What documents will I need once my child is accepted?
