About Citizens
Why Choose Citizens of the World Las Vegas?
At CWCLV, we believe that education should be as diverse and dynamic as the world our students will inherit. We are not just a neighborhood school; we are a community intentionally designed to bring together students from all backgrounds to learn with and from one another.
Our Three Strands of Learning
Our unique approach to learning is built on three foundational strands that ensure your child is academically prepared and socially conscious:
Academic Excellence
We utilize a “constructivist” approach, where students learn through hands-on, project-based inquiry. This goes beyond rote memorization, teaching students to deeply internalize and apply knowledge to real-world problems.
Social Emotional Learning (SEL)
100% of our students participate in SEL, learning to manage emotions, resolve conflicts, and build healthy relationships. We believe emotional intelligence is the foundation for academic success.
Difference & Inclusion
We are “Diverse-by-Design,” meaning we purposefully create a space where students of all races, cultures, and socioeconomic backgrounds learn together. This environment fosters the empathy and cultural competency needed to lead in a pluralistic society.
K-8 Tuition-Free Public School
A Consistent Path from Kindergarten through 8th Grade

At Citizens of the World Las Vegas (CWCLV), we provide a seamless educational journey that eliminates the “middle school cliff”. By keeping students in one supportive community from their first day of Kindergarten through their 8th-grade graduation, we foster deeper relationships between teachers, students, and families.
- Tuition-Free Excellence: We offer a specialized, private-school caliber curriculum with $0 tuition, ensuring that high-quality global education is accessible to every family in our community.
- A Nurturing Environment: Our K-8 model allows younger students to look up to older peers as mentors, while our middle schoolers develop leadership skills by serving as role models within a familiar, safe environment.
- Focus on the Whole Child: From age 5 to 14, our students engage in a “Diverse-by-Design” curriculum that balances rigorous academics with essential social-emotional learning.
Why K-8 Matters in Las Vegas
Most traditional schools require a stressful move to a large, unfamiliar middle school after 5th grade. At CWCLV, we believe those critical early adolescent years should be spent in a place where your child is known, seen, and valued.
Our Mission
Our mission at CWC Las Vegas is to provide a socio-economically, culturally, and racially diverse community of students in Las Vegas with an intellectually challenging, experiential learning environment that develops each student’s confidence, potential, and individual sense of responsibility in the world.
Our Vision
The vision for CWC LV is to provide a high-quality education for all students from kindergarten to grade 8, laying the foundation for future school, professional, and personal success. By drawing on one of Clark County’s greatest assets – the diversity of the people who call Clark County home – we seek to ensure that all of the diverse members of this community are welcome and active participants in our school, creating a hub for community activity that truly reflects and embraces the ethnic, racial, linguistic, and socioeconomic diversity of the neighborhood. With exceptional leadership at all levels and opportunities to participate in interactive, rigorous learning experiences with students from all backgrounds, our school will prepare students for success in college, a diverse society, and a global economy.
We believe that in today’s society, children grow into strong critical and creative thinkers when they have the opportunity to learn alongside others with diverse backgrounds and perspectives. Children can only reach this potential by learning to manage themselves while thoughtfully and productively working with others across differences to better understand the broader world. We see every day the challenges our communities face in how people work across real or perceived differences. CWC LV will represent the diverse makeup of the community we serve, and we are proud to be part of the first national school network in the country that intentionally focuses on serving socio-economically and racially diverse classrooms.
Core Values
At CWC Las Vegas, our core values are part of our collective identity. They inform our decisions, influence our interactions with one another, and represent a shared set of ideas that we aspire to every day.
EXCELLENCE: We demand lasting quality.
DIVERSITY: We are better and stronger because of our differences.
AUTHENTICITY: We are our true selves in this work, and we are candid.
COMMUNITY: We care deeply about people. We share and build partnerships. We celebrate, laugh, and seek joy, even in the tough times.
CHANGE: We welcome the unknown, embracing the unexpected and new. We adapt to meet the ever-changing times. We find new ways.
4 days a week and Why it matters
At Citizens of the World Las Vegas, we are committed to giving every child an education that truly prepares them for life, not just tests. That is why we are excited to introduce our four-day-a-week school model.
Our priority is quality teaching. With this schedule, our teachers have more time to plan meaningful lessons, provide individualized attention, and give students detailed feedback that helps them grow. Every assignment, project, and assessment is designed to support real learning, not just to fill a gradebook.
Less time in the classroom does not mean less learning. In fact, it means smarter learning. Students can focus deeply on each subject, receive richer guidance from teachers, and experience a learning environment where every day counts.
We are confident that this approach will help your child thrive academically, socially, and emotionally while allowing families more flexibility. We look forward to partnering with you to make every learning moment meaningful.
